How the App Works
- 100% offline - no internet connection required or used
- All settings stored locally on your device only
- Camera permission used exclusively to control LED flashlight
- No data ever leaves your phone

Permissions Explained
Camera Permission: Used only to control your device's LED flashlight hardware. The camera itself is never activated, and no photos or videos are captured, stored, or transmitted. Ever.
This is the ONLY permission the app requests.
Technical Note: Android requires CAMERA permission to access the LED flash hardware. This is a system-level requirement, not our choice. We never access the camera sensor itself.
Internet Permission
We don't have one. Check the app permissions - you'll see Guardian Torch has ZERO internet access. It's completely offline by design.
Third-Party Services
None. Zero. We don't use:
- Google Analytics or Firebase
- Ad networks (no ads in the app)
- Crash reporting services
- Social media SDKs
- Cloud storage or backup services
- Any third-party code that contacts external servers
Your Settings
- Brightness preferences stored locally in app storage
- Last-used mode saved on your device only
- Can be cleared anytime by clearing app data in Android settings
- Never synced, backed up, or transmitted anywhere
Children's Privacy
Guardian Torch is safe for all ages. Since we collect no data whatsoever, there is no risk to children's privacy. The app complies with COPPA and similar regulations worldwide by not collecting any personal information from users of any age.
International Users
Guardian Torch works identically everywhere. We don't collect data from users in the US, EU, UK, or anywhere else. GDPR compliance is simple when you collect nothing.
Data Retention
What data? We have no servers, no databases, no user accounts. There's nothing to retain or delete because nothing is ever collected in the first place.
Your Rights
Under privacy regulations like GDPR, you have rights to access, delete, and control your personal data. Since Guardian Torch collects zero data, these rights are automatically fulfilled - there's nothing to access, nothing to delete, and nothing to control.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change our approach to privacy (spoiler: we won't), we'll update this page with a new effective date. The current version will always be available at this URL and within the app.
Security
The most secure data is data that doesn't exist. Guardian Torch follows this principle completely. Since we never collect, transmit, or store any user data, there is no data to secure, leak, or breach.
Bottom Line: Guardian Torch is a flashlight. It turns your LED on and off, with some nice visual modes. That's it. We built it to respect your privacy completely, which means collecting absolutely nothing about you.
